Our founder, Brook Bernacchi QC, QBE began practising in 1946 and set up what is now the oldest set of Chambers in Hong Kong.
Bernacchi Chambers is Hong Kong's oldest established set of Barristers' Chambers. It has over the years been the "home" to many of Hong Kong's best known Practitioners and Jurists, a number of whom are currently members of the Judiciary. It continues to be one of the most respected sets of Chambers in Hong Kong. Its members provide a wide range of advocacy, advisory, arbitration and mediation services.
Mr Vincent Chen, led by Ms Linda Chan SC, appeared for the successful plaintiff in the Court of First Instance in Revelry Gains Ltd v Joy Rich Development Ltd  1 HKLRD 769, an application by the creditors contributories of the defendant company in liquidation to intervene under Order 15, rule 6 to conduct the defence on the company's behalf.
Mr Selwyn Yu SC (leading Ms Po Wing Kay) appeared for the successful respondent before the Appeal Committee of the Court of Final Appeal in Securities and Futures Commission v CL Management Services Ltd (2016) 19 HKCFAR 611, an appeal from the Court of First Instance’s judgment dismissing an appeal against conviction by a magistrate.
Mr Valentine Yim, led by Mr Philip Dykes SC, appeared for the successful applicant for judicial review in the Court of First Instance in Law Chi Yuen v Secretary for Education  5 HKLRD 302, a case concerning discrimination against students with intellectual disability.
Mr Robert Pang SC (leading Ms Maggie Wong) appeared as amicus curiae in the Court of Appeal in HKSAR Ngo Van Nam  5 HKLRD 1;  5 HKC 231, a seminal case concerning the sentencing practice of according a discount for Defendants who plead guilty.
Mr Raymond Chu (led by Mr Bernard Man SC) appeared for the successful respondent/wife in the District Court in A v B (Ancillary Relief)  1 HKLRD 187, an application for ancillary relief. Mr Robert Pang SC (led by Mr Richard Todd QC) appeared for the petitioner/husband.
Mr Eugene Yim appeared for the respondent husband in the District Court in DX v LN  5 HKC 485, a case concerning an application by the husband to discharge a prohibition order preventing him from leaving Hong Kong until the hearing of the petitioner wife’s judgment summons.
